Springfield police investigating man’s shooting death

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) — Springfield police are investigating the shooting death of a 43-year-old man. Police say officers responded to a call early Sunday about a person possibly being stabbed at a home in north Springfield. Police found Robert Eagleburger, of Springfield, was instead suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to an area hospital, where he died. Police have interviewed a suspect in the shooting but they have not made any arrests.
