Security guards find man fatally shot in Old Westport area
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Police in Kansas City are investigating the city’s latest homicide after security guards found a man fatally shot in the city’s Old Westport neighborhood. Police say in a news release that the guards heard gunshots around 3 a.m. Sunday in the area of Westport Road and Broadway Boulevard. When they went to investigate, they found a man in the street with gunshot wounds. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Police did not immediately release his name. Police said they do not have any suspects in the shooting.
