KMIZ

ST. LOUIS (AP) — Police in St. Louis say a man has been found shot to death inside a bullet-riddled car under the shadow of the famed Gateway Arch. The shooting was reported around midnight Monday on the monument’s grounds, and officers arrived to find a car crashed on a concrete stairway. Police found the body of a man who had been shot repeatedly. Police have not released the name of the man or announced any arrests in the shooting. Gateway Arch National Park officials told KSDK that crews were working to clean up debris from the shooting and subsequent crash and that the stairway will remain blocked off Tuesday. Officials say the monument would still be open to visitors on Tuesday.
