CLAYTON, Mo. (AP) — A St. Louis man who was upset that his daughter was fired from a McDonald’s has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for attacking the manager. The manager at a McDonald’s in Chesterfield lost sight in one eye after the attack in January 2019. On Friday, 38-year-old Kendell Cooks was sentenced for attacking Jeffrey Jackson a few hours after Cooks’ daughter was fired. Prosecutors said Cooks and several others blocked Jackson’s vehicle while he was sitting in it. Cooks then smashed the driver’s side window and hit Jackson several times with a wooden and metal rake. Cooks was convicted in June of first-degree assault, armed criminal action and property damage.
