SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) — A 22-year-old man has been charged with second-degree murder in a shooting death outside a Springfield convenience store. Garrett Austin Eagle, of Springfield, was charged Monday after the shooting Friday afternoon outside the Conoco Village Mart. The victim was identified as 49-year-old Jason Masters, of Springfield. KYTV reports Eagle told police he was not the shooter but he did not want to name the person who did the shooting. Besides the murder charge, Masters faces four other felony counts in the case. Online court records do not name an attorney for Masters.
