Springfield man dies after convenience store shooting

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) — A Springfield man who was shot outside a convenience store on Friday has died. Springfield Police said Saturday that 49-year-old Jason Masters died at the hospital after he was shot outside a Conoco Village Mart around 2 p.m. Friday. The Springfield News-Leader reports that police have not announced any arrests in the case or disclosed details of what led to the shooting. Masters’ death is the 15th homicide of the year in Springfield.
