Police arrest woman in violent rampage that left 1 dead
KANSAS CITY, Kan. (AP) — Police in Kansas City, Kansas, say they’ve arrested a woman considered a person of interest in a violent rampage that saw a man fatally shot. Television station KCTV reports that the string of violence began around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, when a woman reportedly stole a vehicle from a store parking lot. A few hours later, police say that car was involved in two separate hit-and-run crashes before the woman fled on foot. Police say they then received reports of a woman breaking into an elderly woman’s apartment and stabbing the older woman before fleeing. About a block away, a man was fatally shot in his driveway and his car stolen. Police say they later found the car with the woman driving it and arrested her.
