Kansas State requires all employees to get COVID-19 vaccine

KMIZ

MANHATTAN, Kan. (AP) — Kansas State University will require all employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19 by Dec. 8. University provost Charles Taber said Friday the Board of Regents have determined that a vaccine mandate from President Joe Biden applies to universities that work on federal contracts. Emporia State is not subject to the mandate because it does not administer any federal contracts. Pittsburg State officials said the school was reviewing the requirements. Officials with the state’s other public universities have not responded to questions about the mandate. Kansas State will consider employees who aren’t vaccinated by the deadline on a case-by-case basis. The university will allow applications for medical or religious exemptions.
