Three injured in crash on Highway 50 in Moniteau County

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Three people suffered injuries in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 50 on Thursday afternoon, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash happened on Highway 50 east of California at Shooters Club Road at around 3 p.m., according to the Highway Patrol's crash report.

Troopers said the crash happened when a truck tried to cross eastbound Highway 50 onto Shooters Club Road. The truck failed to yield to a car driving eastbound, which then hit the truck in the side.

Three people in the car were hurt, including the 64-year-old woman who was driving and two juvenile females passengers. The driver had the most serious injuries and was flown to University Hospital in Columbia. The teenagers were taken to Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City.

The 18-year-old driver of the truck wasn't hurt.
