Tracking a few storms tomorrow; heat taking over this weekend

TONIGHT: Storms exit before sunset, but isolated showers linger overnight, with an additional quarter-inch of rain possible. Lows in the upper 60s.

TOMORROW: Mostly dry in the morning, then scattered showers and storms develop in the afternoon. Over a half-inch of rain is possible in isolated spots, mostly near the Lake of the Ozarks and I-44. Highs climb to the mid-80s.

EXTENDED: Rain chances decrease Friday night, but brutal heat will quickly take over this weekend, with sunny skies and a heat index near 100 by Saturday afternoon. The heat index could reach 105 on Sunday, but we're eyeing a few storms to the northeast that may bring relief to some. Monday will be sunny and dangerously hot up to 105 again, and Tuesday may also reach the triple digits before rain chances increase into the middle of next week.
