Paul Wilson drops out of MO-3 congressional race

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Democratic candidate Paul T. Wilson announced Tuesday he is suspending his campaign for Missouri's 3rd Congressional district.

"At the current time we have suspended our active campaign for the 2026 MO-3 congressional district," Wilson told ABC 17 News in an e-mail. "We were unable to have our name removed from the ballots due to the timing of the suspension and ballot printing so we are on the primary ballot regardless.  We are hoping to retool and potentially retry for the next election cycle."

Wilson was one of three Democrats vying for the nomination on August 4; the other two are Bethany Mann and Tommy Holstein.

John Fraser and incumbent Bob Onder are competing for the Republican nomination, while Jim Higgins is the lone Libertarian on the August ballot.
