LAKE OF THE OZARKS, Mo. (KMIZ)

A 25-year-old Kansas City man drowned at the Lake of the Ozarks Saturday night, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol's Troop F.

A social media post from Troop F said the man entered the water in Lick Branch Cove and did not resurface.

The post said troopers later located the man dead in the water. An online drowning report said the man's body was recovered around 9:35 p.m. and that he was declared dead by the Morgan County Coroner at 9:42 p.m.

The report notes this is Troop F's sixth drowning of the year and first for July.

MSHP does not name victims in its reports.
