Pulaski County man seriously hurt in crash

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A 49-year-old Montreal, Missouri man was seriously hurt during a crash in Pulaski County just before 8 p.m. Monday.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the man was riding a 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle. He tried to overtake a 2022 Polaris side-by-side, driven by a 26-year-old Laquey woman at the intersection of Highway 7 and Rio Road.

The woman tried to make a left turn when the motorcycle hit the side-by-side. Both vehicles went off the left side of the road and overturned. The man was thrown off the motorcycle during the crash.

The man was flown to University Hospital with serious injuries. The woman suffered moderate injuries in the crash.

The report states the man was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The motorcycle was totaled and the side-by-side sustained moderate damage.
