Tracking rain dissipating as temps could feel like triple digits this week

TODAY: A Weather Alert Day is in place until shortly after lunchtime for a continued threat of flooding with persistent heavy rainfall. Showers look to clear out of the area this afternoon, as high temps will reach the mid 80s. High humidity could bring our feels like temperature to as high as 90 degrees,

TONIGHT: Scattered clouds will remain into the evening with a slight chance of a few drops. Temperatures will dip into the low 70s.

EXTENDED: Storms look to return early Tuesday morning, becoming more scattered as we move later into the day. Expect conditions to clear up for the afternoon as temperatures will continue to rise this week into the upper 80s to low 90s. Heat indexes could reach as high as triple digits midweek. Wednesday looks to be our clearest day of the week with plenty of sunshine, before storm chances pick back up on Thursday, which will help to cool things down a touch. Friday brings about another dry afternoon, while the weekend could produce a scattered thunderstorm. Make sure to stay hydrated for the warm week ahead.
