Marshall woman killed in crash, pedestrian critically hurt

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash in Marshall.

It happened at around 1:15 p.m. Tuesday in the 1000 block of South Odell Avenue. The Highway Patrol's report said one vehicle rear-ended a second, sending both off the road. The second vehicle also hit a pedestrian.

The driver of the second vehicle, a 65-year-old woman from Marshall, died at the scene. The pedestrian, a 32-year-old woman from Marshall, got serious injuries and was flown to a hospital.

The driver of the first vehicle had minor injuries and was taken to Fitzgibbon Hospital for treatment.
