No injuries reported after house fire in central Columbia Saturday

COLUMBIA, Mo. KMIZ

Columbia firefighters worked a house fire in central Columbia on Saturday afternoon.

Firefighters were seen in the area of the 700 block of Cook Avenue around 3 p.m. on Saturday. According to CFD spokeswoman Skyler Clark, no injuries were reported in the fire but a resident was being evaluated by medics on scene.

An ABC 17 News reporter saw heavy smoke coming from the back side of the home and several CFD firetrucks.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
