Cold front brings chill, but warmer weather on the way

TONIGHT: Partly cloudy to mostly clear with lows in the low 20s.

TOMORROW: Partly to mostly sunny and cool with highs in the low to mid-30s.

EXTENDED: We'll be in for a cold snap Wednesday morning with temperatures dropping into the teens and 20s before a warming trend takes hold. A colder air mass is moving into the region behind a disturbance tonight, with the coldest temperatures of the week tomorrow afternoon. A ridge building to our west will advance slowly east, allowing temperatures to increase the rest of the week. High temperatures on Wednesday only reach the low 30s as clouds hang around in the morning, gradually decreasing through the day. A warm up begins on Thursday as winds shift southwest, pushing temperatures into the mid-40s. High temperatures on Friday will reach near 50, but a cold front moving through could bring a slight dip in temperatures to kick off the weekend with highs in the lower 40s. As the ridge builds overhead, temperatures continue to warm well above average next week with highs reaching the 50s again by Monday, with near 60s in some spots by mid-week. Rain chances increase between Tuesday and Wednesday with a low pressure system moving into the region from the southwest.
