Man seriously injured in Maries County crash

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A 55-year-old man was seriously injured Monday in a crash on Highway 63 in Maries County near County Road 528, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

The report says that the crash occurred as a 2021 Chrysler Voyager – driven by the 55-year-old Fredericktown man – was heading northbound, cross the centerline and hit a 2024 GMC Sierra head-on.

The driver of the GMC had no reported injuries and was wearing a seatbelt, the report says. The Fredericktown man was not wearing a seatbelt and suffered serious injuries, the report says. He was flown to University Hospital, according to the report.

Both vehicles were totaled. MSHP reports do not name those involved in crashes.
