Tracking a dry afternoon before increasing storm chances

TODAY: Clouds linger into the afternoon, but sunshine in between will warm highs to the 70s.

TONIGHT: Overnight lows cool to the mid-50s with increasing chances of showers and storms deeper into the night.

EXTENDED: A cold front swings through on Thursday, bringing back rain chances in the morning and afternoon. High pressure clears things out on Friday, and rain likely holds off early Saturday. A brief shot of rain is possible into Sunday, but much of the weekend and early next week looks dry as stronger high pressure takes hold and pushes temperatures into the 80s.
