Auxvasse teenager injured in Callaway County crash

EDITOR'S NOTE: The age of the driver has been corrected.

CALLAWAY COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A 15-year-old boy from Auxvasse was injured when a truck he was riding in rolled in Callaway County on Sunday morning.

According to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the boy was riding in a 1998 GMC Sonoma, driven by a 16-year-old boy from Fulton, on eastbound Interstate 70 at the 152 mile marker just before 8 a.m. The truck went off the road, rolled, and hit an embankment.

The passenger was taken to University Hospital with serious injuries. The driver was not injured.

According to the report, the passenger was not wearing a seatbelt during the crash.
