Pleasant Hill man injured in UTV accident Friday night

A 21-year-old Pleasant Hill man was life flighted to a hospital Friday night after an accident involving a UTV.

According to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, two people were in a 2021 Polaris Ranger on Route FF, north of Brown Bend Road at 10:30 p.m. The passenger of the vehicle, a 21-year-old man from Pleasant Hill opened the door to the UTV while it was in motion causing him to fall out, the report says.

He was life flighted to Mercy Hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the vehicle, a 22-year-old man from Pleasant Hill was not injured in the crash.

The report states neither men were wearing seatbelts when the crash occurred.
