Water shut off and boil order advisory in place in Moberly

MGN

MOBERLY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The City of Moberly issued a water shut-off and boil order advisory after water service was interrupted on Saturday due to an emergency water main repair.

According to a release from the city, customers in the 600 and 700 blocks of S 4th and S 5th Streets, Carpenter to McKinsey Streets, Williams to S 5th Street and the surrounding area are affected.

Residents in the affected areas may experience low water pressure or no water. A boil advisory will go into effect for 48 hours once water is restored. During the advisory, water should be boiled for 3 minutes and cooled before drinking.

Boil orders are due to the time required for testing to confirm water quality in the system, according to the release.

The release says that utility customers with questions can call the water office at 660-263-4420.
