More than 3,500 Ameren customers lose power near Lake of the Ozarks

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Several power outages were reported near the Lake of the Ozarks late Sunday afternoon.

According to the Ameren outage map, more than 3,500 customers were without power. The outages were reported near Osage Beach and the Village of Four Seasons.

Ameren officials said there was weather damage around substations and that crews are actively working on the issue. It is unknown when power could be restored.

The Sunrise Beach Police Department warned that roads were beginning to refreeze. In a Facebook post, the department said that Highway 5 is starting to deteriorate and that highways are very slick.

The police department said there have not been any crashes within the city limits of Sunrise Beach as of 5 p.m.
