COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ) -

Winter weather has led to several governmental agencies closing shop for Monday and delaying some services.

Columbia

Trash collection in the city is canceled for Monday, according to a Facebook post from the city's trash service.

"More considerations for Tuesday's refuse collection will be evaluated to determine whether it can occur on Tuesday," the post said. "Curbside recycling collection is canceled through Wednesday for the safety of the collection staff."

Columbia Public Works spokesman John Ogan said that paratransit bus service would not run on Monday, and would evaluate the road conditions to decide what to do on Tuesday. Fixed-route buses will run starting at 10 a.m. using a Saturday schedule, starting with the blue, orange and red routes.

Boone County

Non-essential government offices will close Monday, according to a county news release. All meetings scheduled to take place in county buildings will be delayed.

The Boone County Courthouse will also close on Monday, with court hearings set that day being pushed back to Tuesday.

Jefferson City and Cole County

City hall and other city offices will close on Monday. Buses will not operate and Republic Services will not collect trash.

Cole County presiding commissioner Sam Bushman told ABC 17 News that county offices will also close on Monday.

Fulton and Callaway County

Fulton city offices will close on Monday, according to communications coordinator Doris Pirmantgen. A news release said Monday's trash collection would instead take place on Tuesday, weather permitting.

The Callaway County Justice Center will be closed, as well as the county's health department office.

Several other courthouses, such as those in Cooper, Howard, Moniteau and Randolph counties, will close on Monday.
