Truck driver seriously injured in Saline County crash

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A truck driver was seriously injured Friday in a crash in the westbound lanes of Interstate 70, near mile marker 70 in Saline County, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

The report says the crash occurred when a 2019 Freightliner – driven by a 56-year-old man from Stockbridge, Georgia -- went off the right side of the road, hit a sign and guardrail, and overturned.

The driver was brought to Centerpoint Hospital by ambulance, the report says. He was wearing a seatbelt. The truck was totaled, the report says.
