Kehoe announces Adam Gresham as director of transition team
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)
Governor-elect Mike Kehoe announced on Wednesday that Adam Gresham will lead his transition team as he prepares to take over Missouri’s highest office.
Kehoe won the election for Missouri governor on Tuesday over House Minority Leader Crystal Quade (D-Springfield).
"We be, we really believe we won both the primary and the general because Missourians, um, thought that our goals in the direction we want to take to state agreed with them. And so we look at that as their way of saying, ok, this is what you said. Now, let's get it done. And Adam's going to help us put together a team here that does this," Kehoe said.
Kehoe said during a Wednesday news conference he’s been working with Gresham for over a decade. Gresham previously worked under Gov. Matt Blunt, who was Missouri’s governor from 2005-09. Kehoe is expected to announce more members of his transition team later this week, a press release sent later on Wednesday said.
The release says Gresham graduated from the United States Naval Academy and served as an infantry and intelligence officer in the United States Marine Corps. He obtained a master's degree in public administration from the University of Memphis, the released says. Gresham currently serves as chief of staff in Kehoe’s lieutenant governor’s office.
