Mizzou ranked No. 24 in first College Football Playoff rankings

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou football team landed at No. 24 ranking in the first College Football Playoff Selection Committee rankings of the season, on Tuesday night.

The news comes just days after MU fell out of the AP Top-25, following the loss to Alabama in Tuscaloosa.

Head coach Eli Drinkwitz and company are 6-2 overall, so far, in 2024 and 2-2 in conference play. Eight total Southeastern Conference teams are included in the CFP's Top-25. You can find a full list of the rankings below.

The College Football Playoff rankings will continue to be released every Tuesday night, until the end of the season. The final ranking will come out on Sunday, Dec. 8.
