Tracking a dry start but a wet end to the weekend

TODAY: We'll have more sunshine Friday, and with the addition of some southerly influence in our light winds, we'll have temperatures back in the low 60s.

TONIGHT: We remain clear, with only a chance for a few clouds late tonight. Temperatures fall into the low 50s and upper 40s just after sunset.

EXTENDED: Starting chilly, in the low 40s, temperatures jump into the upper 60s thanks to more south wind Saturday afternoon. Still, clouds will be on the increase ahead of our next system which will act as a water pump over the weekend. Clouds through the day will be high but thickening into the evening, a sign of better rain chances to come as soon as Saturday night. Most of Saturday will be dry, but some in the west could pick up showers as soon as the evening, with chances growing for all overnight into Sunday. More waves of rain likely arrive Sunday and Sunday night into Monday morning. Our last round of rain comes as a cold front sweeps through the region. We'll likely see an additional 1-2 inches widespread on the low side, with the possibility of up to 4 inches on the high side in a wide spread manner across the region. On a localized basis, some could see more than 4 inches if the wetter scenario plays out. Rain will be wrapping up on Tuesday, so the day looks mostly dry, but some showers will be possible. Temperatures hang in the 60s Saturday and Sunday, but may reach 70s by Monday, ahead of the cold front. Behind it, we'll expect 60s on Tuesday.
