Obama and Walz urge Democrats to vote early in battleground Wisconsin

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Voters lined up across battleground Wisconsin to cast their ballots on the first day of early, in-person voting as former President Barack Obama and Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Walz urged supporters in the liberal capital city to do the same. Walz and Obama spoke to thousands of Democrats on Tuesday as Republicans also spread across the state to get their voters out. Donald Trump lost Wisconsin by just under 21,000 votes in 2020. Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris are expecting another razor-thin margin in Wisconsin, and both sides are pushing voters to cast their ballots early.
