Columbia man arrested after allegedly threatening people, barricading himself inside a business

ORIGINAL: A Columbia man was arrested Saturday after allegedly threatening multiple people in Central Columbia.
According to a social media post from Columbia police, Cameron Comstock, 24, of Columbia was arrested on charges of peace disturbance, fourth-degree assault, second-degree tampering, third-degree kidnapping and resisting arrest.
The post states around 11:45 a.m. Saturday, police responded to a disturbance in the 10 block of North Ninth Street. Witnesses allegedly told police Comstock was threatening people and threatened to assault a man with a fire extinguisher.
Comstock then allegedly tried to steal two vehicles and barricaded himself inside an unnamed business.
Comstock was listed on the Boone County jail roster without bond Saturday night.
