The Chiefs are signing former star Kareem Hunt to their practice squad, an AP source says

AP Sports Writer

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — A person familiar with the decision says the Kansas City Chiefs are signing Kareem Hunt to their practice squad. It’s a reunion with a running back who achieved stardom with them before video of him assaulting a woman led to his release. The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the team had not announced the move. The Chiefs brought Hunt in for a workout after Isiah Pacheco sustained a right ankle injury in Sunday’s win over Cincinnati that could keep him out the rest of the season. The Chiefs drafted Hunt in 2017. He played parts of two seasons with them before a video surfaced that showed him shoving a woman to the ground and kicking her, leading to an eventual NFL suspension.
