Chiefs WR Marquise Brown to have shoulder surgery next week, will be placed on IR

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — The Chiefs are putting wide receiver Marquise Brown on injured reserve because of the dislocated shoulder joint he sustained in the preseason against Jacksonville. He will have surgery next week in Vail, Colorado. The designation will keep Brown out for at least four games, though the Chiefs are bracing for it to be much longer. The rest of the Chiefs’ wide receivers were productive in last week’s season-opening win over Baltimore. They will be counted upon again on Sunday against Cincinnati.
