Chiefs’ Travis Kelce finds sanctuary when he steps on the football field with life busier than ever

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce turns 35 next month, an age that few playing his position reach before retirement. Yet Kelce is still among the best in the game. And off the field, his life has never been better or busier. He spent the summer jetting around the world to watch girlfriend Taylor Swift perform on her Eras Tour. He continued to build his business portfolio, even to the point of owning part of a racehorse. Still, Kelce finds the Chiefs’ practice facility to be a sanctuary, where he can get away from everything else. And as the Chiefs eye a record third straight Super Bowl title, that focus will be necessary in the coming months. Kansas City opens its season Thursday night against Baltimore.
