Shooting on Texas Avenue in Columbia early Sunday morning

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A home was damaged after a shooting on Texas Ave. in Columbia early Sunday morning.

According to Columbia Police spokesperson Jenny Hopper, officers were dispatched to the shooting around 1:45 a.m. Hopper said someone had shot a home in the 500 block of Texas Avenue.

The department currently does not have anyone in custody at this time.

A press release from the Columbia Police Department ABC 17 News got around 10:40 a.m. Sunday states that upon arrival, officers spoke with a witness who stated shots were fired. Property damage was reported. No injuries were reported, according to the release.

The release says this is currently an ongoing investigation.
