Columbia woman injured after crash in Boone County Saturday afternoon

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Columbia woman was hospitalized with serious injuries after a crash in Boone County Saturday afternoon.

According to an online crash report, Crystal Hines, 40, of Columbia, was driving northbound on Route E south of Akeman Bridge Road when she hit a 2008 Ford F150, driven by Jayden Butler, 18, of Columbia, attempting to turn right.

Hines attempted to avoid Butler's truck before they ultimately collided at 1 p.m.

Hines and a passenger in the vehicle with her, Eric Statham, 50, of Columbia, were taken to University Hospital by ambulance. Hines sustained serious injuries. Statham sustained moderate injuries. Butler did not sustain any injuries.

Everyone in the crash was wearing a seat belt.
