Flood Warning issued July 3 at 4:30AM CDT until July 5 at 3:15PM CDT by NWS Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO

…The National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill MO has issued a
Flood Warning for the following rivers in Missouri…

Chariton River near Prairie Hill affecting Macon and Chariton
Counties.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Chariton River near Prairie Hill.

* WHEN…From this afternoon to Friday afternoon.

* IMPACTS…At 15.0 feet, Fields along the river begin to flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 3:45 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 9.9 feet.
– Forecast…The river will rise above flood stage this
afternoon to 15.6 feet just after midnight tonight. It will
then fall tomorrow morning. It will rise to 15.6 feet early
tomorrow afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage
tomorrow afternoon.
– Flood stage is 15.0 feet.

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
