One in custody after pursuit in Callaway County

CALLAWAY COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

One person was taken into custody Sunday evening after a pursuit in Callaway County, according to a spokesperson from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Sgt. Kyle Green with the MSHP said Troop F was requested for assistance with a pursuit for a stolen vehicle at 4:02 p.m. According to Green, troopers responded to the area of Eastbound Interstate 70 near the 145 mile marker to deploy spikes.

The vehicle exited the interstate before encountering the spikes and traveled Northbound on Route M, according to Green.

The vehicle then traveled Westbound on U.S. 54 and exited onto Route J, where it entered a field and the individuals left on foot.

Green said one person was taken into custody, while two are still outstanding.
