2023 ABC 17 Stormtrack Winter Weather Special set to air Nov. 17

Fall looks to close out warmer than average, but what could we see this winter?

The ABC 17 Stormtrack Weather Team will break down what you can expect with the annual ABC 17 Stormtrack Winter Weather Special.

Viewers will get a firsthand look at the tools the team uses to track snow before it rolls into central Missouri and how people can prepare their cars and homes for the season ahead.

The team will also look at how road crews and Columbia Regional Airport prepare for slick conditions, among other things.

Chief Meteorologist Jessica Hafner will close out the special by sharing her long-range winter forecast, taking into account the ongoing drought and climate impacts being felt across Missouri and nationwide.

The 30-minute special will air on Friday, Nov. 17 at 6:30 p.m. on KMIZ with an encore presentation at 9:30 p.m. on FOX 22, KQFX.
