Three people arrested in Jefferson City after allegedly stealing from an Ulta


Three people were arrested in Jefferson City Saturday evening, after allegedly stealing from an Ulta and leading police on a pursuit.

According to a press release from the Jefferson City Police Department, at about 4:35 pm, officers responded to the Ulta located on Missouri Blvd for a reported theft. The caller allegedly told police that two women were leaving the store in a silver Ford Fusion with multiple large bags containing stolen items.

According to the release, a Jefferson City police officer saw the vehicle described and attempted to stop it. The vehicle allegedly did not stop and drove North across the Missouri River Bridge.

The pursuit continued North on U.S. Highway 54, where assistance was called for from other agencies.

The Callaway County Sheriff's Department deployed tire deflation devices near the intersection of U.S. Highway 54 and County Road 402. After the vehicle was impaired, two of the three people in the car allegedly ran away from police.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol, Callaway County Sheriff's K9, as well as the Fulton Police Department made a perimeter, and the two were taken into custody.

The third suspect was also taken into custody.

The vehicle was towed to JCPD, where a trash bag containing stolen items from Ulta, as well as a loaded 9mm handgun was found. The two female suspects, ages 21 and 22 are being held on the crimes of second degree property damage, resisting or interfering with arrest, tampering with physical evidence and stealing.

A male, age 31 is being held for driving with a suspended license, resisting or interfering with arrest, tampering with physical evidence, stealing and possession of a firearm by felon.

According to the report, the vehicle driven matched previous reported thefts.
