University of Missouri’s homecoming week continues with Greektown, Step Show
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
As the University of Missouri Tigers get ready to face off against the South Carolina Gamecocks this Saturday for the Homecoming football game, many events are set to happen downtown leading up to the game.
Due to the multiple events going on, traffic can be expected throughout the area.
On Friday from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Greektown will be in full effect between Rollins St. and Kentucky Blvd. Houses participating in the annual tradition will be decorated and will include interactive displays, skits and activities.
This year's theme for the event is "children's books", making it family-friendly for all ages.
There will also be food trucks and vendors set up in the area.
Beginning at 7 p.m. Friday, the National Pan-Hellenic Council will host its annual Step Show. The interactive experience will include dancing, stunts, and a fraternity and sorority dance battle. The Divine Nine will also be performing.
To wrap up Friday's events, "Marching Mizzou" and the "Golden Girls" will be at Traditions Plaza at 8:30 p.m. to get Tiger fans excited for Saturday's game.
Before the big game, the Homecoming Parade will go through MU's campus and downtown beginning at 9 a.m.
