Storms bring hail and heavy rain across Mid-Missouri Wednesday morning

COLUMBIA Mo. (KMIZ)

The National Weather Service says Boone County saw almost two inches of rain Wednesday morning and issued a flash flood warning for Boone County. That warning expired at 5:45 a.m.

The morning storms also brought hail into the Boone County area.

Marble size hail in Columbia at ABC 17 News Station

The ABC 17 News Station along Business Loop 70 in Columbia saw marble size hail around 2:45 a.m.

ABC 17 News viewer Ali Borella shared a photo of the large hail she says she saw near the Boone County Health Department in Columbia.

Wednesday's rainfall won't be included in the newest drought monitor set to be released on Thursday morning, but will be seen in next week's drought report. As of the latest report last Thursday, 98% of the state was seeing some sort of drought.
