Storm damage and power outages seen from Wednesday night storms

Residents around Mid-Missouri are cleaning up after storms rolled through the area. Homes in Osage County, Callaway County, Camden County and Gasconade County were without power Thursday morning.

Beginning around 7 p.m. Wednesday evening, residents in Columbia began seeing damage from the storms.

A tree fell over onto the side of a house on Ash and Greenwood. Firefighters on scene say there was no active danger or threat to people in the neighborhood. A power line was knocked down when the tree fell over.

A crash happened on I-70 near Rangeline later Wednesday evening. Our crews are still working to find out if anyone was hurt in the crash and if it was related to the storms.

Around 7:45 p.m. a tree blocked off one lane of the street near St. Charles Rd. Our crews on scene saw a Missouri Task Force One member guiding traffic through the area.

At around 8:30 p.m. there was a downed power line in the 5400 block out Route Z.

  • Callaway County - 232 homes
  • Camden County - 105 homes
  • Gasconade County - 95 homes
