Wednesday is the last day to register to vote ahead of Election Day on Aug. 8

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Wednesday is the last day to register to vote before the special election on Aug. 8. Citizens can register to vote online, mail or in person.

To register online, it's recommended to fill out the voter registration application on Boone County's Website.

To register by mail, residents can print out the voter registration application and mail it to the Boone County Clerks Office. All registrations will be accepted as long as they are postmarked no later than July 12.

To register in person, residents can go to the Boone County Government center during their business hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

All residents must meet three qualifications:

  1. Be at least 17.5-years-old to register and 18-years-old to vote
  2. United States Citizen
  3. Missouri Resident

Listed on the Boone County's website are several locations throughout Mid-Missouri where voter registration forms are available for residents to fill out. Those locations include Columbia City Hall and the library.
