One person in custody after Friday morning shooting in Columbia

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Columbia Police say one person is in custody after a shooting in the west part of the city on Friday morning.

ABC 17 News Crews arrived on scene in the 100 block of Briarwood Ln. a little after 4:15 a.m. and saw multiple CPD officers investigating along a wooded area. Sgt. Hobbs with Columbia Police Department told ABC 17 News officers found evidence of one shot being fired.

CPD said they have three suspects in the shooting and one person was taken into custody a short time after the incident in the area of Worley St. Sgt. Hobbs says there were no injuries or property damage as a result of the shooting.
