Westbound Interstate 70 closed after call of van on fire
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Both lanes of westbound Interstate 70 in the area of the new Missouri River bridge were shut down Tuesday afternoon after firefighters got a call of a van on fire.
The fire happened a little before 2 p.m. Boone County emergency dispatchers issued an alert about it a short time later. Westbound I-70 was reopened at about 3 p.m.
Firefighters shut down the lanes while putting out the blaze, according to emergency radio traffic.

Boone County Fire District units are currently on scene of a commercial vehicle fire on Interstate 70 Westbound at the 115 mile marker. Westbound I-70 is currently closed.
