City of Osage Beach to discuss proposals for current real estate developments

OSAGE BEACH, Mo. (KMIZ)

On Tuesday evening, the City of Osage Beach Planning Commission will meet and discuss proposals for a few projects.

City leaders are looking to build an outdoor amusement park.

Park would include:

  • Carnival-Type Rides
  • Arcades and games
  • Food
  • Concession facilities
  • Dining facilities
  • Bars
  • Restrooms
  • Souvenir shops

The city says this will be a full-time facility that's open year-round.

Osage Beach leaders are also requesting an amendment to its current real-estate developments. Leaders want to combine eight condominiums into a restaurant and hotel by Osage Beach Parkway to Topsider Lane.

The city says combining a restaurant and hotel into one facility will provide more flexibility.

If amended, the planned unit development says it will provide protection for buyers of the condo units. The PUD will also allow the development, restaurant and hotel to share parking amenities.

The new condo site development plan will be made up of 8.5 acres. The hotel and restaurant will consist of two acres.

City leaders say Topsider will provide activities, direct access to the Highway 54 Interchange and a lake front view.

A final development plan has already been submitted to the planning department and is ready for review and additional recommendations.

The Planning Commission committee is set to meet at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
