Five dogs safely make it out of mobile home fire

BOONE COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Boone County Fire Protection District is still investigating the cause of a mobile home fire on Easter Sunday on East O'Rear Road.

Firefighters were dispatched at 10:46 a.m. and arrived in about seven minutes. They saw smoke coming from the house and could see the fire in the kitchen.

Captain Wayne Cummings said they don't know how the fire started yet.

"Yeah, so we're just working on getting the investigation and work on figuring out where the fire may have started and we're just picking up our tools and trying to get trucks back into service," Cummings said.

All the residents and all five dogs made it out safely before firefighters arrived.
