Mizzou linebacker arrested for DWI on Sunday morning

Mizzou linebacker and team captain Chad Bailey was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated on Sunday morning, according to the Boone County Sheriff's arrest log.

The 23-year-old was booked at 2:46 a.m. and was released after posting a $500 bond.

A team spokesperson confirmed that MU is aware of the arrest. The linebacker is suspended from the team, according to Mizzou Athletic department policy. Mizzou did not mention when the suspension is expected to be lifted.

In a statement head coach Eli Drinkwitz said, "We have high expectations for all of our student-athletes, on and off the field, and we will follow all departmental and campus policies."
