Tracking a warmer afternoon with late week snow

Today: Afternoon temperatures continue to warm into the lower 60s with winds out of the southwest at 10-15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. Skies remain mostly sunny.

Tonight: Overnight lows cool to the lower 40s with mostly clear skies. Winds remain out of the southwest at 5-10 mph.

Extended: Wednesday mirrors Tuesday with highs into the lower 60s with the addition of partly cloudy skies. Temperatures will begin to slowly cool into Thursday with afternoon showers pooling into the region. Overnight Thursday will see moisture eventually switch to a wintry mix and snow. The current track of the low pressure system is uncertain meaning exact amounts of snowfall are not yet within scope. Rainfall is certain across Mid-Missouri, but snowfall totals vary. Current tracks show that northwestern portions of Mid-Missouri look to see the greatest chance for snowfall leading into Friday morning revealing increased chances for a wet slush.
