Tracking the last of the warm air, before winter returns
TODAY: High temperatures will range from 50s to 60s from west to east respectively, as warmth tries to hang on to the east ahead of a wind shift from the west. Overall, it's a warm day today, with chances at sunshine through the morning and early afternoon. A stray shower is possible early this morning, but is likely done by sunrise.
TONIGHT: This evening, winds will shift more from the west, and initiate a fairly quick cool down. Temperatures will likely fall into the 30s by late evening. At the same time, low clouds will be wrapping in from the northwest, that may bring a light shower or some drizzle north of I-70. Largely though, the forecast remains dry.
EXTENDED: Wednesday keeps low clouds for most, especially north of HWY 50. This is where temperatures will likely remain in the 30s for highs, with those seeing more sunshine to the south having a chance at 40s. More sunshine is possible on Thursday, but despite this improvement, all should stay in the 30s given continued west-northwest flow. Moving into Friday, winds turn more southerly, and warm into the 40s ahead of a surface low approaching on Saturday. This keeps a slight chance for showers in the forecast on Saturday, at least for now. Confidence is building in a surface low that passes through by Sunday, and leaving us sunny and dry for the end of the weekend, ahead of potentially another wave early next week.
